We all face things that will try to (and can) knock us down. When this occurs, it’s easy to inherit a feeling of hopelessness. But God created you as an overcomer.

Satan will try to tell you otherwise, however, filling your head with such thoughts as: You’ll never get that job; you’ll always be alone; you’re going to get sick, etc.  But Satan is a liar!

Take a look at Micah 7:7-8 – and keep in mind he spoke this in the midst of tremendous difficulty.

“Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me. Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.“

Like  Micah, you too can rise up. Pastor Keith touched on this subject in this past week’s service, stressing the importance of what you speak, and why it matters. If you missed last week, go check it out on the GLC Facebook page, what a powerful message!

The tongue has the power of life and death. – Proverbs 18:21

As a child and young adult, I was very shy and pessimistic. My confidence was nonexistent. I can recall my grandfather telling me that negative thoughts and words lead to negative outcomes. He was right.

When faced with difficulty, we  must remember that we have power in our tongue. The Father spoke life in darkness and created the world, and has given us the ability to speak to our situations and receive the blessings He has for us.

Defeat was never met for you. Whatever you’re facing today, declare victory over it!
